This station was on a link line to the Liverpool Overhead Railway and was on the Aintree/Kirkby - Liverpool line.
The station has long gone, but the tracks remain. They carried freight to the Containerbase in Orrell Lane which closed in the late 1980's.
They were also used once a year to carry
passengers to the Grand National at Aintree Racecourse, but this
seems to have ceased too.
